Katy Hudson is a debut album released by pop rock singer Katy Perry. The release is Perry's only Christian music album, which was released under the name of Katy Hudson (her legal name before changing it to Perry due to the fame of actress Kate Hudson). The album was released in 2001 as a Christian music album when Perry was seventeen years old before she made the switch to mainstream pop music. It was released by Red Hill Records, an independent Christian record label. Perry co-wrote 6 of the songs on the album and wrote 4 herself.
